Now that I’m back at work I have my lunch places to catch up to and discover new ones. I went to my favorite Jajangmyun place, Yu Yu Jajang on 40th and Telegraph in Oakland. To those who do not know, it is similar to what mac and cheese is for Americans. It consists of black bean sauce and fresh noodles similar in size small udon. What surprised me is the fact that Yetnal ZaZang on 46th? and Telegraph often had the better mulmandoo (boiled dumplings), but today Yuyu’s mulmandoo was terrific.
One of these days I’ll have the mandoo challenge – to eat as many plates of mandoo as possible. Next time I’ll take pics.
