Asian Cinema Nite continues this week.
Tuesday 7pm Blue Screening Room

Born to Fight
directed by Panna Rittikrai
In Thai w/ English subtitles
2004 – 91 min.

Who needs plot when you have death wish stunt men. Less of a story and more of a sequence of action scenes, Born to Fight is brought to you by the same people who did Ong-Bak, though without Tony Jaa’s presence. The action borders on ridiculous with martial arts mixed with soccer and gymnastics. A group of Thai athletes are held hostage by a paramilitary group. They fight back.

Part Ong-Bak, part Jackie Chan stunt troupe on a six pack of redbull, and part Gymkata. Worth it just for the pure entertainment and ridiculousness.
